I got a word in the night recently that I want to share. The Lord said, “Believing is not the same thing as Not Doubting.
He likened it to being Married is not the same thing as Not Divorcing. Many people live in the same house as legally bound people but that is not the same thing as two hearts being devoted in a covenant relationship.
Likewise, Being Free is not the same thing as Not Sinning. So many people live on a tightrope trying to not sin, to not do anything wrong. This is completely different from a life surrendered to the move of the Holy Spirit who leads and guides our lives in love. We do what we do out of love. For love. If we fail, we fall on His Love.
The Lord is inviting us to a whole new way of living. He asks us to believe, and truly enjoy His life of fullness and abundance. It will be evident by what comes out of our mouths. “Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” He showed me earlier this week that all language of negativity— I can’t, I don’t have, I can’t afford, I’m not able, I don’t get to—is worship of the Idol of Lack.
We worship the God of abundance and extravagant Love. We are to speak out of this overflow. Let’s align our hearts with Him as we speak life.
We speak abundance. We believe His plans are good for us. We lack no good thing in Jesus.
